Kathy holds a B.S. in elementary education from the University of Colorado, a M.A. in adult community development from Regis University, Denver, and certification in spiritual direction from Benet Hill Center, Colorado Springs.

For five years, she served as the General Editor for the Catechetical Sunday resource materials, published annually by the United States Catholic Conference of Bishops.

She has over 25 years’ experience in catechetical and pastoral ministry, having served for over 25 years in parishes, Catholic schools, and dioceses in Alaska, Colorado, and British Columbia, Canada. For six years she served as Director of Religious Education for the Diocese of Colorado Springs.

Kathy has served on a number of national boards and for two years was an advisor to the U.S. Bishops' Committee on Women in the Church and Society.

She is married and is the mother of two adult children and a child, Jenny, who died in infancy.
